Today, the Israeli occupation forces tightened their military measures in the Old City of Jerusalem, preventing young men from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque and performing the dawn prayer there, while dozens of settlers stormed the mosque’s courtyards, on the sixth day of the Jewish Passover holiday.

The settlers carried out their incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups from the Mughrabi Gate, amid tight protection from the occupation police, who removed the Palestinian worshipers from the path of the settlers’ incursions, and the occupation forces stormed the roof of the Al-Qibli prayer hall. The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem reported that the settlers carried out provocative tours in Al-Aqsa squares, and received explanations about "the structure" Allegedly, they performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern region of it and in front of the Dome of the Rock before leaving the courtyards on the side of Bab al-Silsila.

Yesterday, the number of settler groups that stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque reached 23 groups, including 1,531 settlers, while last Sunday, 912 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa, and the number of raids in the last two days reached 2,449.

Prior to the incursions, the occupation police deployed their special forces and units in Al-Aqsa squares and at its gates, in preparation for the settlers’ incursions. The occupation forces also deployed their forces in the Old City of Jerusalem and set up military checkpoints on the roads leading to Al-Aqsa, and imposed restrictions on the doors of the mosque, and prevented young men from entering it, and confiscated the identities of some of the arrivals after searching them, and prevented the entry of those under the age of 55 years. In the past few days, Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed brutal incursions, including attacks on worshipers in i’tikaaf with batons, rifle butts, rubber bullets and poison gas bombs, forcing them to leave its courtyards by force, and arresting hundreds.
