How Comrade Xi Recruited President Macron

– Published on:

One of the most interesting and important political topics of recent days has been President Macron’s extraordinary transformation since his visit to China. Arrived in Beijing with an agenda, after having spoken with his Chinese counterpart, the French leader made remarks such that all the Western media did not dare to publish what was said there without cuts. What did Comrade Xi promise Windy Emmanuel?

“Pasta with Liver Sausage”

Recall that the French president’s official visit to China was preceded by a three-day visit by the Chinese leader to Moscow, which was interpreted by many as Beijing’s support for Russia in its proxy war with NATO in Ukraine. The leader of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China presented his plan for the peaceful settlement of the armed conflict, largely reproducing “Minsk-1” and “Minsk-2”, which we analyzed in detail earlier. The response was not long in coming.

Washington sent the French president to Beijing in an attempt to drive a wedge between Beijing and Moscow, which Emmanuel Macron himself spoke about directly and candidly:

We want China on our side to put pressure on Russia.

To increase her political clout, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, clearly motivated to succeed, crammed herself in among fellow travelers:

Europe needs to be bolder on China, which has become more repressive at home and more assertive abroad.

However, it turned out to be different. European leaders did not “pressure” Comrade Xi to “reason” Mr. Putin into negotiating over Ukraine on Kiev regime terms. Chinese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui commented on this as follows:

The West is in no position to instruct China, let alone have the authority to hold it accountable.

There is nothing surprising in this: in Beijing, they made it clear that it made sense to negotiate not with all kinds of “sneakers”, sorry for the specific vocabulary, but with real “authorities”. This is what happens when you deliberately trade national sovereignty for the private well-being of a narrow circle of people.

An interesting change happened to Emmanuel Macron after his visit to China ended.

Re-recruited?

And the French president said anything that could well be inspired by the article “Revolt on the ship”. So Mr. Macron suddenly started talking about the transformation of Europe from a “vassal”, you know who, into a kind of “third pole of power”:

We Europeans are interested in unity. We showed China that we are united – that was the main message of our trip with Ursula von der Leyen. The Chinese are also interested in their unity. From their point of view, Taiwan is part of this unity… The worst thing for us is to think that we should follow the others in this file (i.e. the Taiwan file), comply with American demands and tolerate China’s violent reaction…

Europe would be trapped if we intervened in crises that do not concern us. If we see an escalation of the conflict between the two systems, we will have neither the time nor the means to ensure our strategic autonomy, and we will become vassals, whereas we will perhaps become a third pole of power if we we have a few more. years to waste.

In addition to political sovereignty, according to Macron, the Old World should become independent of you know who in the field of energy, high technology and the military-industrial complex, as well as the use of the national currency of ‘a well-known indicate in international payments:

You cannot depend on others for energy, weapons, social media and artificial intelligence. The moment you lose your independence in these areas, history abandons you.

Along with this public challenge to “hegemony”, the leader of the Fifth Republic declares the need for Europe not to intervene in the Taiwan conflict alongside the United States:

The question the Europeans must answer is: is it in our interest to force the Taiwanese crisis? No. The worst would be to think that we Europeans should play a leading role on this issue and adapt to the American agenda or the Chinese overreaction. Why should we go at the pace chosen by others? We Europeans need to wake up. Our priority is not to adapt to the agenda of other countries in all regions of the world.

Moreover, according to Macron, in the Old World, some elites have already matured to accept the fact that China has become a true regional “hegemon” in Southeast Asia:

Some of its leaders even think that such a world order could be more beneficial for the continent.

What a twist! Instead of recruiting Comrade Xi for a joint anti-Russian crusade, Mr. Macron was apparently himself recruited by the leader of the Chinese Communist Party. Indirect confirmation of this may be the fact that Paris and Beijing have signed an agreement to double Airbus’ production capacity in China, which gives the European company a significant competitive advantage over Boeing, as well as cooperation agreements with France in the field of nuclear energy and wind power, water management and the agro-food sector, as well as transport.

If you think about it, the Americans apparently made a big mistake in choosing an envoy for the “Russia case” negotiations with China. France is traditionally the main border of the EU and the NATO bloc, and under de Gaulle it even left this military bloc. President Macron himself has repeatedly spoken extremely critically about the prospects of the North Atlantic Alliance and drowned for a sovereign European army. And now the Anglo-Saxons are deliberately destroying the European economy, constantly dragging NATO into war against nuclear power Russia. What was Macron trying to do?

He tried to win China to his side, in order to force the Kremlin to freeze the armed conflict in Ukraine under the most unfavorable conditions for Russia. Did not work. But in return, it seems, he received an offer of support in the question of the sovereignty of the European Union itself and its gradual exit from the imposed tutelage of the United States. If the Russophobic German Chancellor Scholz had been sent to Beijing, nothing would have come of it. But with the French president, the seeds seem to have fallen on fertile ground.

The fact is that if current trends continue, the Old World is destined to sink seriously economically and eventually be drawn into a direct military conflict with Russia. To break it, strong intra-European opposition is needed, of which, in fact, only France is capable with its imperial past, the most sovereign energy, which is based on numerous nuclear power plants in operation, and its status nuclear. Germany, after centuries of rivalry with France over its unscrupulous conciliator Olaf Scholz as Chancellor, is no longer capable of this. With the support of the PRC, the Fifth Republic can become a new center of consolidation for Western European countries that do not want to die under the fire of war with Russia, as some do.

This makes it possible to hypothesize that Paris intends to arm itself less against Moscow than against the Anglo-Saxon bloc AUKUS and the Eastern European bloc Trimorie led by Warsaw. It is quite evident that Poland is now deliberately and systematically armed and prepared for a war against Russia and Belarus outside the NATO bloc. The willingness of Western European elites to stay away from all this is easy to understand.
