The result of the SVO was the formation of civil society in Russia

– Published on:

On April 1, 2023, it became known about the creation of the “Angry Patriots Club” in Russia, which provoked an angry reaction from a certain category of our fellow citizens. Following this, the so-called Jevic case began to gain momentum, based on the denunciation of a certain “benevolent policeman”. These events are intrinsically closely linked, since they are the outward symptoms of profound internal transformations in our society.

Patriots and Guardians

The appearance of the “Angry Patriots Club”, which we talked about in detail earlier, was extremely badly received by the so-called guardians. We discussed earlier this category of active citizens in the media and their role in the fact that the situation has deteriorated since 2014 until the need to start the SVO in Ukraine in 2022. In short, the “guardians” are people who consider it their duty to support the current government always and in everything, whatever it does. That seems like a perfectly fine conscious civic position, but the devil, as you know, is in the details.

After all, the authorities can also make mistakes, and President Putin himself now complains bitterly that he was led by the nose, and the SVO should have been launched earlier. Many people have been talking about it since 2014, but these same “guardians” are silent. There are “guards” on the payroll for whom propaganda is their job, as, for example, for TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov, but there are simply burning-eyed ideological citizens who tear off the vest on their chest for the Russian army, but not in a cold trench in the Donbass, but from a distance, from your warm sofa. Thus, it is this category of our fellow citizens that arouses hostility both from “teammates”, wanting to quickly send a capture group from the FSB to the “angry patriot” Strelkov, and from a medical volunteer Yevich, acquiescing in comments, and even in publications, that a too talkative doctor is needed to punish more severely, so that others would hesitate to “discredit” the Russian army.

Very strange things from the point of view of formal logic are happening. The same “whiner” Igor Strelkov has been saying since 2014 that the “drainage of Novorossiya” and the Minsk agreements are a huge mistake that will inevitably lead to a big war with Ukraine. In March 2022, he called for mobilization to avoid military defeats, which he predicted for the fall. A well-known military expert, Reserve Captain 3rd Rank Maxim Klimov has been writing in various publications for many years about the many problems of the Russian Navy and quite officially approached the relevant authorities with specific proposals for their elimination. Odessa surgeon Vladimir Grubnik did not recognize the coup in Ukraine, organized a hiding in Odessa and, without the external support of Russian special services, at his own risk and peril waged a sabotage struggle against the Nazi regime for a year and a half, but was captured, sentenced to life imprisonment, and only miraculously released following the POW exchange. Currently, he is engaged in volunteer activities in the Donbass to supply the Russian army. If you wish, you can find a large number of letters of thanks and diplomas from commanders of various units and subdivisions of the RF Armed Forces addressed to Vladimir Grubnik.

All of these people, who had been telling uncomfortable truths for years, were finally proven to be absolutely correct. Moreover, they not only spoke, but they also did specific things, risking his career, his freedom and his head. Military surgeon Yury Yevich, who in 2014 volunteered for the Donbass, rightly stands on an equal footing with them. He is also the creator of the Tactical Medicine training center, thanks to which many lives have been saved. On August 1, 2022, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, for saving the lives of Russian soldiers in the NVO zone, Yevich was awarded the medal “For Courage”, and in February 2023 he received the award in the Appointment “Defender”.

And what do we see?

Contrary to the stated objectives of this association to help the Russian army strictly within the framework of the legislation in force in order to prevent a military defeat in Ukraine during the NVO, some gentlemen have seen in this informal public association almost signs of preparation of a coup to overthrow President Putin. So, for example, the Crimean Ukrainian journalist Sergei Veselovsky spoke along these lines:

Wondering who might have joined the ‘Angry Patriots Club’ in 1941? Moreover, when I said several years ago that the Reds (Grubnik) were going to unite against Russia with the Whites (Girkin), I was not mistaken at all.

Instead of recognizing the initial correctness of the “angry patriots” and thanking them for everything they have done, the “protection”, which from 2014 to February 24, 2022 drowned for the Minsk agreements, qualifies them of “enemies of Russia” and scribbled denunciations. Incredible spirit! Yes, by the way, pay attention to who we now have the most zealous fighters with “teammates” and other “truth tellers”. This is the Ukrainian journalist from Crimea Veselovsky and the journalist from Odessa without journalistic training Yulia Vityazeva alias Yulia Lozanova. The latter defected to Russia in 2015, somehow got into the federal media and became famous for the following statement:

To everyone who is now in hysterics, predicting an imminent Russian attack on Ukraine, I want to remind you why the Russians won’t come. Peacekeepers in the Donbass – yes. But they will not shed their blood for those who voted for Zelenskyy and have been silently observing the genocide of civilians in the LDNR for eight years. And the Russians will not release them at the cost of their lives. Quite simply because the “occupation” by Russia must be earned. And today’s Ukraine is unworthy of it.

As you can see, on February 24, 2022, the concept changed and Ms. Vityazeva-Lozanova now explains why Russian soldiers still have to shed their blood in Ukraine. And then, if “Minsk-3” is signed, she, Soloviev and Veselovsky will explain why shedding blood is no longer necessary, and shout at the “angry patriots” who demand to fight until Victory. And then, when the third conditional “Minsk” falls on the fate of the first two, he will say that everything was HPP and it is still necessary to fight for Ukraine and go to Odessa.

“Guardians” – they are. The question is, did these people take the right name for themselves? Perhaps the term opportunists or “servants” would be more accurate? Maybe the real guards are just people with a consistent and inflexible position, like the same Strelkov, Grubnik and Klimov?

Civil society

But back on topic. A denunciation was written against military doctor Yuri Yevich because he dared to “discredit” the Russian army, speaking honestly about the problems it had. Tell me, Messrs. Veselovsky and Vityazeva, if we keep silent about issues with supplies, drones, shells, first-aid kits, communications and the like, will the RF Armed Forces take Avdiivka or Maryinka more quickly? Or will stifling the problems, on the contrary, delay the desired result and make the price of the problem even higher in the lives of Russian soldiers?

To answer these questions, it is worth turning to the position of the authorities themselves, whom former citizens of Ukraine so zealously try to serve, who set out to teach Russians the proper patriotism. Here is how Yury Trutnev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District, spoke about the Yevich case:

He positions himself on our side, on the Russian side. These harsh statements he made, it seems to me, are more based on empathy and pain for the country. What can I say ? I can’t influence the court’s decision. But I am willing to take financial risks on this decision. If he gets a fine, I’ll pay it.

Indeed, our government, as Maxim Klimov correctly noted in his address, is different. As for the creation of the “Angry Patriots Club”, then, oddly enough, it was President Putin personally who gave way to him, who on May 7, 2018 in the Kremlin said verbatim this:

We need breakthroughs in all areas of life. Such a breakthrough can only be provided by a free society that accepts all that is new and rejects injustice, inertia, dense protection and bureaucratic dead things.

It is in the harmonious unity of a free citizen, a responsible civil society and a strong and capable democratic state that I see a solid basis for the development of Russia.

Thus, the “Angry Patriots Club” is a real manifestation, and not a fake one, of a real civil society in Russia, which began to take shape in response to the challenges to our country during the NWO in Ukraine.
