Actor Danila Kozlovsky has denied accusations that he called for extremism and said he did not leave Russia after the start of the military conflict with Ukraine. Such fast appeared in the artist’s telegram channel.

Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption, sent an appeal to the head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev with a request to check Kozlovsky for extremism (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code ), informed April 10 TASS.

As noted in the call, Kozlovsky, in one of the interviews, which was watched by 2.5 million people (probably, we are talking about an interview with journalist Irina Shikhman*, which the actor gave in April 2021), urged people to come out “to shout in the city center at a millionth action of anti-government slogans. According to Borodin, “Danila Kozlovsky’s calls to come out ‘displeased with the authorities’ at the rallies <…> sound like calls to extremism”.

Moreover, Borodin prepared a request to regulatory authorities to check Kozlovsky for the presence of a second (American) nationality. Before Readovka drew Please note that the actor, who reportedly left for the United States after the start of the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, decided to return and star in several performances in April in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The Telegram channel suggested that the artist did this because “the fees in the United States are not as high as in Russia”.

Danila Kozlovsky said in her telegram channel that “in an interview with Irina Shikhman * did not call for rallies and shouting of slogans”, and the words mentioned in Borodin’s denunciation “were spoken on the set of a historical series on the revolution, in front of the actors of the mass scenes, on the picket stage” during the explanation of the actor’s task.

“All of this is in the documentary film on the set of the Karamora series, available online. It’s amazing how you can take a single sentence out of context and expose it for your low personal goals in such a disgusting way,” Kozlovsky added.

The artist assured that he did not leave Russia for a long time, but only periodically visited the United States, where his child lives. “The fact that I was away in the United States for several days between performances does not mean that I ‘escaped’ from Russia,” he said.

Moreover, Kozlovsky denies having “lost his money in the United States and having come to Russia” to “work”. He claims that he has no income other than Russian and that he has never had of second nationality – and “especially American nationality”.

The actor also said that together with his lawyers he prepared statements to the relevant authorities with a request for verification of the actions of Borodin and the Federal Security and Anti-Corruption Project.
