She also wants to increase budget expenditures for the upkeep of her 13 deputies.

The governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Natalya Komarova, proposed to suddenly increase taxpayers’ expenses for their own maintenance to a record 20 million per year. This stems from the fiscal adjustment project for 2023, which has been agreed with the government.

The unprecedented expenditure of the state treasury for the maintenance of the head of the region became known at the end of 2022, but it did not reach such monstrous proportions.

Then it was proposed to approve spending for these purposes up to 15 million rubles, despite the fact that in 2022 it amounted to 5 million rubles. Then the deputies supported the request of the regional government, but this did not prevent the growth of the governor’s appetites – now she proposes to increase these budget expenditures by another 4.7 million rubles – from 15 million rubles to 19.8 million.

Natalya Komarova This amount includes payment of the governor’s allowance (salary, bonuses and other monetary allowances), as well as travel allowance, payment, housing, transportation, representation, etc.

The Ministry of Finance of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug refused to explain the reason for the increased expenditure of the governor of Yugra. They also did not specify whether the personal expenses of the governor were included in the specified amount, however, one of the deputies of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug said that it was taken into account there.

Thus, in just one year, the cost of maintaining Komarova quadruples – from 5.3 million rubles in 2022 to 20 million in 2023. Thus, 1.6 million rubles per month will be allocated from the budget for these purposes.

Interviewed experts note that previously taxpayers’ expenses for the maintenance of Governor Komarova and her team were more modest. However, now they will be practically the same. Recall that 22 million rubles were allocated for the maintenance of the governor of the Tyumen region Alexander Moor.

“It seems that Natalya Komarova is going to retire and has finally made such a gift to herself and her associates so as not to deny herself anything,” shares the interlocutor of the Factologia Telegram channel.

Recall that in January of this year, Natalya Komarova, during a meeting with deputies, gave a master class on the schemes for allocating budget funds. Only realizing that everything she said was being broadcast live, Komarova stopped the “corruption lesson”.

Previously, the authorities of the Surgut district of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug distributed apartments to officials in a new building in the village of Bely Yar. Although they had to allocate housing for those who needed to be resettled, especially since the house had been purchased by the district solely for these purposes.
