Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on Averbukh and Akinfeev

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has implemented the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on the introduction of personal sanctions against citizens of the Russian Federation. In particular, sanctions were imposed on figure skater and choreographer Ilya Averbukh and CSKA Moscow footballer Igor Akinfeev.

The corresponding decree was published on the website of the President of Ukraine.

According to the decree, the sanctions will be in effect for ten years. The list also includes figure skaters Ivan Bukin, Nikita Katsalapov, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva and Dmitry Aliev, footballers Yuri Gazinsky and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov, gymnasts Artur Dalaloyan and Svetlana Khorkina, skier Veronika Stepanova.
