The first forest fire broke out in Chuvashia this weekend

In Chuvashia, a fire was quickly extinguished on the lands of the forest fund of the Volga region.

On Saturday, April 15, the dispatcher of forest protection of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources received a message about a fire in the territory of the Cheboksary Forest near Lake Astrakhanka.

Employees of Cheboksary Forestry quickly and the Ministry of Emergency Situations went to the scene of the fire. They managed to put out the fire within an hour, which managed to spread to 0.12 hectares.

As reported in Ministry of Natural Resources five people and three forestry equipment units, two emergency situations equipment units and four firefighters were involved in extinguishing the fire.
