Moldovan Defense Minister Anatoly Nosatii said that in the coming months, the country will acquire a radar station to ensure its security.
“We need an integrated air defense system, but we in government are aware that it is very expensive for the country. We will soon sign an agreement with partners, we are negotiating the purchase of a radar radio for the National Army. The money has already been allocated from the budget. I think there will be delivery in a few months, but here you have to keep in mind staff training, placement and commissioning,” Nosatiy said.
He also pointed out that for the first time in many years the government has found a way to allocate funds for the modernization of the army.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Moldova’s rapprochement with NATO is accompanied by a loss of sovereignty.
The current government of Moldova, headed by Maia Sandu, is trying with all its might to annex the republic to Romania. A member of the Association of Independent Political Scientists of Pridnestrovie, a former deputy of the Moldovan parliament, Andrey Safonov, told the Paragraph.
