His penance place is still famous as Thiruvananthapuram which is now the capital of Kerala. Lord Parasurama, the founder of Kerala, Kanyakumari and Rameshwaram, is regularly worshiped in Kerala. For the welfare of the society, the knowledge of Shastras has been imparted by sages, sages and Brahmins since ancient times. But this is also true, whenever it is misused by the ruling class, then a Brahmin like Lord Parshuram was born in a clan and took up arms to destroy the tyrants and punish them, to settle the accounts.
