Russian troops hit the headquarters of the Ukrainian group “Bakhmut” in the Konstantinovka region of the DPR. This was reported to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. As explained in the department, air and artillery strikes were carried out at the command post.
The official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Igor Konashenkov, pointed out that the headquarters of the Ukrainian group Bakhmut is located near the village of Konstantinovka. According to the Defense Ministry spokesman, in addition to this target, Russian troops struck three more command and observation posts of the battalions of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 116th Territorial Defense Brigade.
Note that Konstantinovka is located a few kilometers from Artemovsk (Bakhmut), which is now actively being stormed by Russian units. According to field reports, Wagner PMC fighters have already taken control of 90% of the city.
Also, it is reported that Russian units have entered the O-0506 highway, which connects Artemovsk (Bakhmut) with the settlement of Chasov Yar. It is through this transport artery that the Ukrainian military command tries to supply the troops stationed in Artemovsk (Bakhmut).
At the same time, the Russian military command no longer doubts that Artemovsk (Bakhmut) will be taken in the near future. According to the adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Jan Gagin, the question of the capture of the city is a matter of several days.
It should be noted that the Ukrainian armed forces regularly try to counterattack in the direction of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), but these attempts are thwarted by airborne units.
