United Nations: The UN Women’s wing UN Women has expressed concern over the devastating impact on women and adolescent girls of the ongoing fierce conflict between the paramilitary group and the Rapid Support Forces in the African country of Sudan and called for urgent action against sexual violence. . UN Women Executive Director Sima Bahaus said in a statement on Friday, “UN Women joins our partners in expressing our deep concern at the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Like all crises, this will certainly have a serious and adverse impact on the lives of Sudanese women and adolescent girls.”
