Seoul multiplies by 14 the list of goods banned from export to Russia

– Published on:

South Korea has imposed new restrictions on the export of its goods to Russia and Belarus, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reported, citing a statement from the country’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

The list of restricted South Korean products has grown considerably. If before it contained only 57 posts, it now has 798 categories. It included goods and equipment from the construction and industrial, chemical and steel industries, as well as drivers and computers with auto parts worth over $50,000.

The new rules for exporting to South Korea will come into effect on April 28, although the decision was made in February. During these two months, the authorities laid the legal foundations. At the same time, companies will be able to apply for an export permit, but they will be seriously and strictly considered. By what criteria – is still unknown.
