Flagship restaurant ROSTIC’S opened in Moscow after rebranding. Another 65 ROSTIC’S restaurants in Moscow and the region and in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug are expected to be open to customers by the end of May 2023. The chain’s establishments suspended work under the KFC brand in March 2022.

On April 17, 2023, an agreement was reached between the company Yum! Brands and the Smart Service group of companies for the transfer of these last Russian assets, which are concentrated in the company Unirest. These assets include its own restaurants, KFC’s master franchise rights and a chain of franchised restaurant management system. The rights to the ROSTIC’S brand are also transferred to Unirest.

“My team and I have done an excellent job of opening restaurants under the ROSTIC’S brand and starting to welcome customers again. With the launch of ROSTIC’S, we will be able to reconnect with the growth strategy and open restaurants under this brand. Moreover, the launch of the flagship restaurant ROSTIC’S and the further development of the chain will continue the important mission we have broadcast before – we want our restaurants to be accessible to as many Russians as possible,” said Tatyana Shamanskaya, General Manager from Unirest. .

Along with Moscow and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, restaurants belonging to the Smart Service group of companies from Udmurtia, Tatarstan, the Kirov region and the Perm Territory will open under the ROSTIC’S brand. There are 41 in total, now they work under the KFC brand and receive guests as usual.

“For more than 15 years, my life has been closely connected with KFC. Our company is one of the first network franchise partners in Russia. With the opening of ROSTIC’S, we continue to develop a successful brand based on experience “, the technology and the talents accumulated during the work under the franchise. Our ambitious goal is to double the business by opening 1,000 more restaurants in 5 years. I am sure that this success will encourage our franchise partners to actively cooperate with ROSTIC’S” , commented Konstantin Kotov, co-owner of the Smart Service group of companies.

Today in Russia there are more than 1,100 establishments in the network, which employ more than 40,000 employees. The rebranding of the entire network is expected to be completed within 18 months. At the same time, the transition does not provide for the closure of establishments, new points of sale will be opened under the ROSTIC’S brand. Restaurants under the KFC brand will also continue to operate for the duration of the franchise agreement.

“The formula for success for us is simple: bring joy to customers through the experience of visiting our restaurants. And the main thing is the unique taste of the product and the cordial service. A guest comes to the restaurant for the taste of our chicken, and returns because of the awesome service. We look forward to seeing customers at restaurants that are opening so they can see for themselves,” said Olga Eliseeva, Operations Manager at Unirest.
