Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said a man died in the village of Kurasovka, Ivnyansky District, who sawed shells from the time of the Great Patriotic War in the yard of his house .
“In the village of Kurasovka, Ivnyansky district, in the courtyard of his own house, a man sawed shells from the Great Patriotic War. As a result, a shell exploded, the man died,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
District head Igor Shchepin and all operational departments have arrived at the scene of the incident and investigative measures are underway.
Gladkov also described the task of district heads, urging them to continue the work of explaining to citizens, especially to children.
“If a person does not take care of himself and neglects his own safety, the safety of his loved ones, picks up unknown objects, starts sawing them, then loses his arms, legs, dies – it should not be !” he added.
On the eve, it was reported that 503 munitions from the time of the Great Patriotic War were found and destroyed in the Crimean Feodosia.
