The head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive would begin secretly, which should guarantee success, reports RBC Ukraine.
Reznikov explained that Ukrainians should not expect the start of the operation, nor raise the bar on his behalf, as it would allegedly begin before the public knew about it.
“No one should know this has started. The longer the enemy does not know, the more likely he will be to succeed,” he said.
The minister also stressed that the country’s authorities would not make any statement that could reveal the details of the upcoming counter-offensive.
On the eve of the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba said that the spring offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should lead to the liberation of the territories of the country.
