Uladzimir Uiba reprimanded the traffic police inspector, who demanded to rearrange his car.

The head of the Komi Republic Vladimir Uyba, known for his rude behavior, has entered into another scandal. This time, the governor reprimanded a policeman who asked him to pull the car out of the wrong parking spot. The politician told the inspector that he was “the guarantor of the Constitution” here, and that the police should guard the area next to him.

The rude behavior of the head of the Komi Republic was met by traffic police officers who came to the call after complaints from local residents. People complained that expensive foreign cars were parked in the wrong place. Arriving at the scene, the police immediately found the attacker – he turned out to be the head of the region Vladimir Uyba.

One of the inspectors approached Uyba and politely asked him to pack up the car, but the governor refused to do so. He said he was holding a meeting here and the police should not respond to complaints, but protect him.

“Citizens complain about things that shouldn’t be complained about. Again I say – the leader is holding a meeting. Temporarily, I cordoned off the territory for myself. It is you who should stand under you with flashing headlights and say that the territory is cordoned off for the holding of a meeting of the head of the republic – the guarantor of the Constitution. Get up and get up! Uyba told the policeman in the video.

In response, the policeman explained to the head of the region that he was not responsible for representing and protecting the “guarantor of the Constitution”, which further angered the official.

“You don’t understand me? Stand up and stand up until I leave. Shall I give you an order?” the head of the area told the inspector.

The “lordly” behavior of the head of Komi was outraged not only by local residents, but even by deputies of the State Duma. Deputy of the State Duma of United Russia, TV presenter Yevgeny Popov urged Vladimir Uyba to write a letter of resignation and never have to deal with the authorities again.

“Bad parking? Arrived. They made a remark – apologize – rearrange the car. It is absolutely unacceptable to be rude to a police officer and the citizens you work for. And, in principle, this is unacceptable for an official, especially of such a rank. Also, Uyba is a famous doctor,” Popov wrote.

He also asked if “Vladimir Putin knows that in Komi the ‘guarantor of the constitution’ is not the president, but a rude leader”.

It is not the first time that the leader of Komi has been at the center of a scandal because of his statements. Thus, in 2021, he called the MP a “creature, a horse” and promised to “dig” him for criticizing the government’s work report. After that, he responded to local residents who wanted to address the president with the words: “I am Putin for you.” And last year Uyba called local activists who opposed the construction of a waste sorting plant “environmental trash”.
