A 200-meter monument dedicated to the founder of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, has appeared in the Minecraft video game world. Next to him, the party intends to organize an online demonstration on May 1, informed Deputy of the State Duma Andrey Svintsov in his telegram channel.
“Digital technologies, alas, are not yet perfect, and Vladimir Volfovich turned out not to be very similar. But, I’m sure the unknown sculptor will still work on the likeness of the portrait. In any case, the work is awesome,” he wrote.
The parliamentarian also invited members of the same party and supporters of the Liberal Democratic Party to support the project and meet on May 1 at the monument to Zhirinovsky in Minecraft.
“This year it is not recommended to hold May Day protests in Russia. But these restrictions do not apply to virtual reality,” he said.
Svintsov also indicated in the message the data of the server on which the monument was built.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky died on April 6. In the telegram chain of the LDPR faction, his death called “a blow for all of Russia, for the army of its supporters.”
The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party said his farewells on April 8 in Moscow. The funeral ceremony took place in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, then the coffin with the body was taken to the Hall of Columns, where everyone could say goodbye to the politician. Zhirinovsky was buried in the Novodevichy cemetery.
At the end of May, for the first time in its history, the head of the State Duma’s International Affairs Committee, Leonid Slutsky, became the party’s new chairman. He was the only candidate for the post of leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, 86 parliamentarians voted for him, no one spoke against him.
