The Russian Defense Ministry reported that the joint defense headquarters in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and a “Foreign Legion” unit in the Konstantinovka region were hit by rockets.

In addition, operational-tactical and army aviation strikes, artillery fire and heavy flamethrower systems of the “South” troop group hit Ukrainian units in the Bogdanovka area, Chasov Yar, Nikolaevka, Krasny and Predtechino in the DPR.

The day before, Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, said that despite the unfavorable weather, the Russian forces continued their offensive and that the Ukrainian armed forces were in critical condition.

The collapse of the front will follow the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Artemovsk (Bakhmut). The corresponding statement was made by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of the country Alexei Danilov. He stressed that Artemovsk (Bakhmut) is an important strategic point.
