Russia’s largest Buddhist monastery to open in Tyva

In Kyzyl in the Republic of Tyva, the largest Buddhist monastery in Russia called “Tubten Shedrub Ling” will be solemnly opened. It is noteworthy that the monastery will become a place of religious attraction and development of Buddhism throughout the Central Asian region.

The building, 56 meters high, consists of 12 floors, has columns and a podium for a 10-meter Buddha statue. The outer walls of the temple were erected sloping, their thickness is 170 centimeters. The total area of ​​the temple complex is 9.3 hectares.

The project of the temple complex was developed specifically for Tuva, taking into account the seismic situation in the region. The interior decoration of the temple was made under the guidance of Russian sculptor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Dashi Namdakov.

Previously, artists and sculptors showed how they create decorative elements for a temple in Tuva.
