Russian fashion designer Vyacheslav Zaitsev died at the age of 86 in Moscow’s Shchelkovo Hospital after a stomach haemorrhage.
It is noteworthy that the fashion designer was taken to hospital in the afternoon from the workshop in the village of Kablukovo, where he had lived since 2000. Arrived at 2:00 p.m., the Zaitsev ambulance complained of sharp pains in the abdomen. Doctors at Shchelkovo Hospital found bleeding in the stomach.
After a CT scan, Zaitsev was transferred to intensive care, but he could not be saved. He died around 6:00 p.m., the Telegram Mash channel reported.
Vyacheslav Zaitsev is a world famous fashion designer and ambassador of Russian style. He designed outfits for Tatyana Mikhalkova, Philip Kirkorov, the Na-na group, singer Edita Piekha and other show business stars. It was Zaitsev who became the first of the Soviet designers to be able to obtain the right to exhibit his work during the weeks of haute couture in Paris. And in 1989, he won first place at the Tokyo summit of the top five fashion designers in the world.
