The League of Arab States stressed the importance of adhering to the basic principles of the Charter of the United Nations, doubling work on achieving existing commitments, and the need to take specific measures to protect the Palestinian people as the only people under occupation.

The Assistant Secretary-General for International Political Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Khaled bin Muhammad Manzalawi, said that there is an urgent need to reform the Security Council to maintain international peace and security in all circumstances. The occupation forces also stormed Ain al-Sultan camp in Jericho, amidst gunfire and gas bombs at Palestinian homes.

In the same context, the occupation continues its siege of the Jordan Valley for the 23rd day in a row, and obstructs the movement of Palestinians at its entrances, amid Palestinian warnings of the danger of continuing the siege, which has inflicted heavy losses on farmers in this fertile area.
