Bhopal. On the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, a three-day Goddess Worship Festival will be celebrated in Devidham Salkanpur from May 29 to May 31, 2023. Many activities will be organized in the temples of every village and town before the Devi Aradhana Mahotsav. Collector Praveen Singh instructed to make all the necessary preparations for the organization of Devi Aradhana Mahotsav and publicize the event.

Collector Praveen Singh said on Monday that under the former area of ​​Devi Aradhana Mahotsav, temples and religious places of the village and town will be cleaned and painted and attractively decorated. Devi Aradhana Mahotsav will also be publicized in the area through the publicity chariot. In order that more and more citizens in villages and urban bodies participate in the festival, publicity will be done by wall writing and placing flex and banners at prominent places.

Village, ward, development block and district level organizing committees will be constituted by May 5 before Devi Aradhana Mahotsav. In which, according to the level of the committee, eminent citizens, religious leaders, priests, people’s representatives and government officials-employees, including members of the Public Campaign Council, public service friends and members of the Prasputan Committee will be included.

Collector Singh said that a day before the main event, Shila and Chunri Yatra would be taken out in the village with drums and drums. A stone will come from each village in the journey, brick will be used for the stone. Gulal and flowers will also be showered on the yatra at many places. Families participating in the yatra will bring with them soil from their courtyard, house, farm in a small bag. Which will be laid in the foundation of Devi Lok Nirman. Katha, Bhajan Kirtan and Kanya Bhoj will also be organized at the local level after the yatra is over.
