Erdogan announces new oil discovery and confirms: We will become an energy exporting country

Erdogan said: “Turkey will now become an energy exporter. I would like to announce another good news. We have discovered an oil field with a production capacity of 100,000 barrels per day in Cudi Gabar (a mountainous region of Şırnak).”

During an election event in Konya state, Erdogan described the discovered oil as “high quality”, noting that it is located 20 km from Cezre district in Sirnak state.

He continued, “The field in which the Ipoque Yalcin-1 well is located will produce more than all the oil wells in Turkey alone,” explaining that the country “will be able to increase its production capacity to 100,000 barrels of oil per day while drilling”. 100 wells in the region.”

And to add: “We will take a new step towards the energy self-sufficiency of our country, with a production of 180,000 barrels of oil per day, from the Ipoque Yalcin-1 field”.

The Turkish president revealed that the oil extracted from the well had started to be pumped to refineries.
