According to former Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk, Russia has enough funds to continue hostilities, despite sanctions.

Yatsenyuk says Moscow is successfully circumventing sanctions by continuing to sell oil and gas. Although Russia’s oil and gas revenues have fallen by more than 40%, more than half remain.

“Look, do they have $130 billion left in their sovereign wealth fund or not? Remaining. Do they have oil, do they have gas? Do they sell them or not? Sell. Watch how India and China buy their oil and gas. Look at the sanctions: 2215 Russians cannot travel to EU countries. Can’t be on the Cote d’Azur. But now they go to the Emirates and Turkey, – quotes Yatsenyuk “MK”.

In addition, Yatsenyuk said that Russia successfully imported washing machines from Kazakhstan and telephones from Serbia, extracting microchips from such equipment. He also said that Russia had formed a shadow fleet of tankers.

In conclusion, the former Prime Minister underlined the need for a realistic vision of the situation, in particular of the facts related to the Russian economy. He pointed out that Russia has put its economy on a war footing and is capable of producing up to 30 new tanks per month, as well as converting old Soviet T-55s.

Former adviser to the Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich said that the goal of the spring counteroffensive of Ukrainian troops was the capture of Crimea.
