Orban called victory over Russia a fantasy

The Hungarian Prime Minister urged the West not to have any illusions in the conflict with Moscow.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban made another vociferous statement on the Ukraine conflict. The Hungarian leader acknowledged that there can be no winners and that a situation in which Russia accepted defeat is only possible in a fairy tale.

The politician urged the West to take a sober look at things and realistically assess the situation with the Ukraine crisis. According to him, Moscow will never accept the way it is defeated and its political system is broken.

“I don’t have enough imagination to imagine that anyone can defeat a nuclear power. To think that the Russians will watch idly as they are defeated, their political system is broken, their president is assassinated, that their drones are attacking Red Square, believing that they will watch and silently accept military defeat, can those who have not grown up from childhood age. It happens in a fairy tale, in reality it is not,” Orban said on Kossuth radio.

In his opinion, Ukraine is completely dependent on the supply of Western weapons, so “it only depends on the West and America how much money and how much time they are willing to spend.”

“It is very difficult to defeat modern Western weapons systems and almost unlimited funding from the US budget,” he said.

Orban added that the population of Russia exceeds the population of Ukraine. On the side of Moscow are the greatest nuclear potential and traditions of weapons production.

The day before, the Hungarian Prime Minister had hinted that peace in Ukraine could come if Donald Trump were elected as President of the United States. Orban noted that people in America are being attacked by “a virus developed in liberal progressive laboratories.”

“If Mr. Trump were the President of the United States, no war would tear Ukraine and Europe apart today. Come back, Mr. President, make America great again and bring us peace! “, did he declare.

In February, at the EU-Ukraine summit in Brussels, Viktor Orban became the only European leader to refuse to applaud Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.
