Coronation ceremony of Charles.. 7 “uninvited” countries, including an Arab

– Published on:

A British source said Britain had not sent invitations to attend King Charles’ coronation ceremony to leaders of:

Russia. Belarus. Iran. Burma. Syria. Afghanistan. Venezuela.

He also sent two invitations to “high-ranking diplomats”, not heads of state, for North Korea and Nicaragua.

On the other hand, heads of other countries with which Britain has full diplomatic relations, and countries dependent on the United Kingdom, have been invited.

What are the details of King Charles’ coronation ceremony?

At the start of the ceremony, Charles and Camilla will travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in the Diamond Jubilee Carriage, and the ceremony is expected to start at 10 a.m. GMT. Upon arriving at the Abbey, the King will sit in St Edward’s Seat and take an oath to rule justly and defend the Church of England, of which he is the titular head before the holiest part of the ceremony when the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby anoints his hands, head and chest with holy oil consecrated in Jerusalem. After presenting Charles with symbolic regalia, Welby will place St Edward’s crown on his head, amid cries of “God Save the King” from the audience. Then his eldest son and heir, Prince William, will pay homage, kneeling before his father and placing his hands in the hands of the king, pledging allegiance to him. The Archbishop will invite all in the Church and across the country to pledge allegiance to Charles, a new element of the coronation, replacing the honors traditionally bestowed by senior dukes and peers of the realm. After returning to Buckingham Palace, the Royal Family will traditionally appear in the room, as military aircraft fly overhead. The festivities continue on Sunday, with street parties across the country and a concert at the King’s House at Windsor Castle.
