Former Kuchma adviser on Zelenskyy: ‘hanging by a thread’

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not capable of governing the country in a conflict that could lead to a change of power. This was stated by former adviser to the second Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma Oleg Soskin.

“Zelenskyy is no longer aware of the development of the situation <…> It is clear that he cannot accomplish the tasks facing Ukraine,” he said.

Today, Ukraine finds itself in a difficult position, while its existence depends entirely on the financing of foreign countries. If the head of state does not manage to control the situation, he will have to resign because of the massive protests against the authorities, affirms the former adviser to Kuchma.

“Zelenskyy is hanging by a thread, if there is no counter-offensive, then he will no longer be needed,” Soskin concluded.


Earlier in an interview with The Washington Post, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said Western powers’ expectations of Kyiv’s planned counteroffensive were too high.
