Vande Bharat: Vande Bharat train is being started in one state after another in the country. Now there is a good news for the North Eastern states. Indian Railways is all set to launch the first semi-high speed train for the North East.
In this series, the Railway Board has asked the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) located in Chennai to allot a rake of blue and white Vande Bharat train for the North East Frontier Railway Zone (NFR).
This is going to be the first Vande Bharat train for the North Eastern state. It is expected to run between Guwahati and New Jalpaiguri (NJP). The Vande Bharat Express allotted for NFR zone will have 16 coaches. Currently the fastest trains between the two cities are Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express and Dibrugarh Town Rajdhani Express.
Both the trains cover a distance of over 700 kms in approximately 07:00 hours. The NFR zone comprises five circles – Tinsukia, Lumding, Rangiya, Alipurduar and Katihar.
Starting Vande Bharat on this route will not only benefit the local people, but also increase the number of tourists coming from other states. This will also save the time of the passengers and they will be able to reach from one state to another in less time. This train will prove beneficial for the people of Guwahati and its surrounding areas.
Let us inform that last month many states got the first gift of Vande Bharat train. Vande Bharat trains were started for the first time in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala. Vande Bharat train running between Secunderabad-Tirupati, Chennai-Coimbatore was also flagged off.
