Greek General Christou accused Kyiv of a crime for transferring battles to cities with inhabitants

– Published on:

Retired Major General of the Greek Air Force, General Secretary of the Greek-Russian Union, President of the Society of Friends of Crimea in Greece, Pavlos Christou, said that the Kiev regime had made a serious mistake by transferring hostilities to the cities, and this is a crime against the Ukrainian people.

“Ukraine and the Ukrainian leadership made a very big mistake by moving the war to the cities. Wars should only be fought between armies in open space,” he quotes RIA Novosti.

Christou explained that during World War II, there were few battles in cities with a population, and when they did occur, most citizens left the cities.

According to him, the death of civilians is a war crime. The Kiev regime is setting up military bases in the city, in hospitals, which is prohibited by the international law of war.

“The President of Ukraine and the leadership are committing a crime against the Ukrainian people with thousands of casualties among the civilian population,” Christou said.

Furthermore, he pointed out that the international community did not rise up when Ukrainian troops bombed cities for eight years.

On the eve of the head of the private military company “Wagner”, Yevgeny Prigozhin said that the Ukrainian armed forces had struck from the MLRS HIMARS in the installation, which contained Ukrainian prisoners of war intended for exchange.
