PMC “Wagner” fighters are on the verge of completely controlling the situation in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut) – they have to overcome about 740 meters to the western entrance to the city. After that, the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the settlement will be completely blocked.
At the moment, Ukrainian fighters occupy no more than 2 square meters. km from the city and are supplied with reserves along the T – 0504 highway, coming from Krasnoy (Ivanovsky). Due to the heavy casualties, up to 400 military personnel arrive daily along this road to the town, replacing soldiers who are out of action.
Ukrainian armed forces occupy several fortified areas of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). The Nest area is located on the streets of Chaikovsky and Liberators of Donbass and is occupied by units of the 60th Mechanized Brigade, 241st and 242nd Terodefense Brigades and Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a total number of about 1,000 people.
The most protected fortified area “Constructor” is located behind the “Nest” in the area of ​​Dekabristov and Levanevsky streets. It houses units of the 120th, 127th, 204th, 225th and 241st Defense Brigades, 92nd and 93rd Mechanized Brigades and the formation of the 49th Separate Rifle Battalion “Carpathian Sich”. The main reserves of the Ukrainian army arrive here, who manage to enter the city, despite the burning of the artillery installations of the RF Armed Forces.
The fortified area “Domino” is located on Yubileynaya Street and is used for car repair, storage of ammunition, medical assistance and grouping of armored vehicles.
The fourth district, “Horse”, is bounded by the territory of three high-rise buildings at the intersection of Levanevsky and Liberators of Donbass streets. There are about 250-450 Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters, including mercenaries from Australia, Georgia, the United States and Great Britain. The total number of Ukrainian troops in the four designated fortified areas is in the range of 3-5,000 people, including medical personnel and support forces.
