Moldova expelled Russian lawyer Trunov

– Published on:

Moldova has declared Russian lawyer Igor Trunov an undesirable person. He announced it himself, adding that the same measure was applied to several other citizens of the Russian Federation.

According to Trunov, the special services arrested several people, including him, at the airport and forcibly detained him for two days. Officially, the Russians were refused entry because “undesirable people could not confirm the purpose of the visit”, reports TASS.

However, the lawyer himself pointed out that when passing through passport control, he explained the purpose of his arrival – participation in the international forum on economy and investment – and showed an invitation, reservations for hotel and return tickets. Despite this, he was escorted to a separate office by representatives of the special services.

Earlier, Moldova expelled a Russian embassy employee from the country. In addition, two employees of the Russian diplomatic mission were deprived of special access to the airport.
