Oksana Mikhaleva, a dietitian at the SM-Clinic, warned Russians about the development of putrefactive processes in the intestines when eating raw eggs.

Birds infected with salmonellosis transmit the viruses to their offspring. In modern greenhouses there are antibiotics that suppress the infection, so the risk of infection is minimal. However, eating dirty and hand-bought eggs is very dangerous.

Even if they are clean and store-bought, it is still best to avoid eating them raw. The product is poorly digested and almost not absorbed by the body, which leads to various discomforts.

“The use of raw eggs can lead to dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract, a feeling of heaviness in the abdomen, pain, dyspepsia, and with regular use, cause the development of putrefactive processes in the intestines and changes in the microbiocenosis of the intestinal flora,” Mikhaleva summed up the conversation with Izvestiya .
