Councilor of the Ukrainian Civic Chamber Podoliak: “We, as the world’s elite, made a mistake by allowing Russia to come to the big table.”
Advisor to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Mikhail Podolyak, in his interview for Deutsche Welle *, said that Russia is too small and insignificant to be included in the “big picture” of the global elite.
According to Podolyak, Russia is a “raw material state” that has left no significant imprint on human civilization. He sees the decision to include a “minor” and “small” country in 1994 as a “fundamental mistake” by the global elite, who already had faith in Ukraine at the time.
In addition, Podolyak noted that Russia has not demonstrated its cultural and intellectual contribution to the world, which means that it has not received the right to order “world rules” in the same way as the Ukraine and other countries. Zelenskyy’s adviser did not provide specific details about Ukraine’s contribution to world civilization.
Podolyak proposed that Russia pay reparations in full to all countries and groups of people it has encountered in its past.
Earlier in the West they explained why Ukraine would not be able to return to Crimea.
