Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the holy land of Madhya Pradesh has always been blessed by the mother. Mahakal Lok developed in Ujjain with the blessings of Lord Shiva. Now Devi Lok (Devi Lok in Salkanpur) will be constructed in Salkanpur of Sehore district, for this Bhumi Pujan and Shila Pujan program is going to be held on May 31. The work of collecting bricks/stones from the villages is being started with the objective of contributing to the construction of Devi Lok, which will be offered at the feet of the mother. This enthusiasm of the devotees and the atmosphere created for the creation of Devi Lok has been possible only by the grace of Mother.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the conference of village and city level organizing committees at Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday. He started a Rath Yatra to collect stones from the villages before the Devi Lok Mahotsav. The collected rocks will be used for the construction of Devi Lok. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan placed the feet of Devi Ji on his head and handed over the vehicle for the Rath Yatra. On this occasion, Chief Minister Chouhan’s wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan also provided Charan Padukas for the yatra. The Chief Minister also unveiled the DP and poster of Devi Lok Mahotsav. The details of the project of Devi Lok Nirman were given through a short film.
Devi Lok of Salkanpur will be equipped with many facilities
The Chief Minister said that Devi Lok to be built in Salkanpur in Madhya Pradesh will have special importance from the point of view of religious and spiritual tourism. Due to its proximity to the capital Bhopal, the number of people reaching this main place of worship is in lakhs. Pilgrims from many districts reach Salkanpur, a place full of natural beauty, while traveling on foot. Many tourist facilities have been developed here. With the construction of Devi Lok, these facilities will be increased and the devotees will be able to visit Maiya ji and spend some time here using various facilities.
Stairway, roadway, ropeway etc. are available to reach this faith center. After the construction of Devi Lok, there will be an increase in the facilities related to food and accommodation for the devotees. He said that the original temple in Siddha Kshetra Salkanpur will remain intact. Mother’s new forms will also remain. Not only this, the importance of this area will increase due to construction of 64 Yogini, construction of various shops and other arrangements.
Rock gathering, Chunri Yatras, Bhajan competition for men and women
Chief Minister Chouhan also informed about the outline of programs to be held on May 28, 29 and 30 under village and city level programs for Devi Lok Mahotsav. Prior to May 31, the main program of Devi Lok Mahotsav, Shila and Chunri Yatra will be taken out in all the villages on May 28. There will be work of ‘offering the soil of my house at the feet of the mother’ and collection of bricks and stones from every house in every gram panchayat.
Rangoli competition will be held on 29th May. On this day there will also be a competition for the adornment of the mother. Women and men bhajan mandals will present hymns. One lakh 51 thousand will be given to the participants coming first, one lakh rupees to the participants coming second and Rs 51 thousand to the participants coming third. Bhajan competition for women will be held on May 29 and for men on May 30.
The Chief Minister said that in the program of May 30, along with the city-level Shila and Chunri Yatra, different societies and organizations will welcome them along the yatra route. The main program will be held on May 31 in Salkanpur. Under this, religious leaders and storytellers will be honored along with Bhumi Pujan and Shila Pujan. There will also be swasti songs and chanting of mantras according to Vedic rituals. Mata ji’s Chunri, Shila, Kalash Yatra will be welcomed with fireworks and presentation of hymns. Member of Parliament Ramakant Bhargava said that a program has been fixed for worshiping Charan Padukas and taking them from village to village from May 17 to 28. The holy soil from the village temple will also be dedicated for the main program on 31st May. Along with this, chunris will also be provided. Necessary preparations should also be made after discussing the participation of the people by the organizing committees in the chaupals in the villages.
