Melbourne: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Australia next week despite the cancellation of the Quad leaders’ meeting in Sydney and he looks forward to receiving him, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Wednesday. Albanese was asked whether Prime Minister Modi would come to Sydney even after the proposed Quad leaders’ meeting in Sydney on May 24 was cancelled, to which he said Modi would visit Australia. Albanese, Modi, Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida were to attend the quad meeting. “Prime Minister Modi will be here next week for a bilateral meeting with me,” Albanese told ABC Radio in Brisbane. He added that Prime Minister Modi would also hold business meetings and attend a public event at Homebush, the Olympic venue in Sydney. . He said, ‘I look forward to welcoming him in Sydney.’
