Among this year’s activities is the publication of two books, one on “The centenary of writers and artists” and “On the occasion of the anniversary of the departure of writers and artists 2022” prepared by the author of these lines, and each of them brings together 50 high-ranking literary and artistic personalities who have left their mark on the world of writing and creation.

To celebrate the memory of the departure of writers and artists is to revive their memory and the creations and achievements they presented to humanity.

This type of celebration is an opportunity to honor the legacy and contributions of deceased writers and artists in the cultural and artistic field, as their works have been featured in the aforementioned books and their cultural and artistic heritage has been highlighted. , whether through art exhibitions, theatrical performances, seminars or cultural and artistic publications.

The exhibition invites the public to participate in this memory by reading their books available in the kiosks participating in the exhibition and by discussing and analyzing their works. The exhibition focuses, in the first gesture of its kind, on the importance of the legacy of these writers and artists and their impact on their societies and other societies through the translation of their works into the languages ​​of the world.

Writers and artists have enriched the human heritage

The celebration of the anniversary of the departure of writers and artists aims not only to revive their memory, but also to document their cultural and artistic heritage, to raise public awareness of culture and to appreciate the important contributions they made in the field of literature and the arts. Among those who died: Bahaa Taher, Lebanese musician Romeo Lahoud, Majid Tobia, Salah Fadl, Khairy Dahabi, Abdel Aziz Al-Maqaleh, Idris Al-Khoury, Muzaffar Al-Nawab, Ali Shams Al-Din, Qais Khazal Al- Azzawi, Ahmed Morsi, Wadih Palestine, according to Sheikh Jaafar, and Rasool Muhammad is the messenger.

Among the foreigners are Andre Mikel, Javier Marias, Raymond Prigo, Joseph Joe Mersa Marley, Yadullah Maftoon Amini and others.

The exhibition dates the centenary of these writers and artists and celebrates their most important literary and artistic works, whether Arab or foreign, marking the centenary of the birth or death of every prominent elite writer and artist. . This type of celebration is an opportunity to honor the legacy and contributions of writers and artists to culture and art. There is no doubt that their countries will organize various events to celebrate the centenary of these writers and artists, such as art exhibitions, conferences, readings, theatrical or musical performances inspired by their work.

Books or articles showcasing their cultural and artistic heritage are also published, and they may be honored with awards or official honors by governments or cultural institutions throughout the year. The celebration of the centenary of writers and artists aims to highlight the importance of culture and art in society and to value the individuals who have contributed to enriching this field.

The most important of them are the centenarians of Arab writers and artists: Nazik Al-Malaika, Salem Hussein Al-Amir, Rukhi Al-Khammash, Sayed Darwish, the Moroccan musician Saleh Al-Sharqi, Nizar Qabbani and d ‘others. Foreigners include: Pierre Loti, Ernest Reimann, Yves Bonvois, Maria Callas, Ali Alp Arslan, Norman Mailer, Nadine Gordemir, Yoshinaw Nakada, Iranian musician Morteza Hanana, Ethiopian musician Miriam Gobro, Yashar Kamal, Indian calligrapher Syed Manzoor Al-Din, and others.

This distinguished event, the first of its kind in exhibitions, even international, is dedicated to the memory of these writers of different nationalities, because their creations are essential. And the release of the exhibition of these two books, which were decorated with paintings drawn and inspired by Syrian artist Hassan Adlibi from their real photos, which gave the books a special luster and more attractive to read . The exhibition also prompted the erection of a large fresco to celebrate the centenary of these writers and artists or the anniversary of their departure.

The exhibit also celebrates the great poet Nazik Al-Malaikah, as her uncle, former personality Munir Al-Malaika (101), reminisces with her. The exhibit will also record a podcast with him to perpetuate the memory of the late founding poet of modern Arabic poetry.
