Scientists have named a tea that kills the human liver day after day

– Published on:

Scientists have published an article in the medical journal GastroHep, in which they talked about the harmful properties of many people’s favorite green tea.

Despite the fact that green tea is widely known for its benefits for the prevention of heart disease, it also has its downsides. In their study, scientists found that the second most popular drink in the world can seriously threaten the liver.

The fact is that for most manufacturers this drink is a mixture of plants from different countries. In some cases, it may contain heavy metals that are dangerous to health, so you should not save money when choosing green tea.

According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) in the US, green tea extracts in pill form have been found to be the main culprits in liver problems. Through cell and animal experiments, researchers have found that plant toxins in the popular drink can trigger a metabolic reaction and lead to liver inflammation in some people.

In this regard, scientists advise not to get carried away with green tea and drink only two to three cups a day, writes “KTV-Luch” .
