Doctors of the Russian Federation informed which products contain heavy metals and how to protect themselves from them

Russian doctors told what products our fellow citizens should avoid, as they contain heavy metals.

Heavy metals are often referred to as silent killers because they have no taste or smell. They threaten even healthy people and are found in a wide variety of products that, at first glance, seem to be safe.

We are talking about lead, arsenic, cadmium, which not only destroy the lungs and liver, but in some cases lead to cancer.

“Cadmium affects all body systems equally. Affects the bone tissue, the nervous system. Affects the liver, kidneys. It has a wide spectrum,” said toxicologist Bogdan Litvintsev.

This metal has been found in instant coffee, seeds, potatoes, seafood, peanuts and chocolate. Medicines containing silver are also dangerous. They are able to provoke the appearance of argyrosis, when the accumulation of metal leads to severe damage to many organs, and the skin and mucous membranes become bluish.

In general, according to doctors, you should not be totally afraid of heavy metals. At risk, only those who work in hazardous chemical and metallurgical industries, melt the metal themselves. Also, experts do not recommend using old dishes and sticking to a varied diet, writes NTV .
