The Ministry of Emergencies predicted the highest fire danger class in 4 federal districts

VNII GOChS specialists presented a forecast of emergency situations for mid-May. The greatest increase in the number of thermal and fire points occurs in the south of the Far Eastern, Siberian and Urals federal districts. There, experts note a high probability of the occurrence of natural fires over large areas.

The fifth highest fire risk class, considered an emergency, is expected in some areas of Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Samara, Orenburg and Novgorod regions, Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, the southern part of the Federal District of the Urals and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

In the northern regions of the country, the likelihood of flooding remains in areas where ice drift and river flooding continue. These are the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Chukotka, the Irkutsk region, the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Tomsk region. In the Krasnodar Territory, rain floods are possible on the rivers of the Kuban River Basin.

FGBU VNII GOChS – All-Russian Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Research of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, Federal Center of Science and High Technology. It is the main scientific organization of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia on the problems of civil defense, prevention and liquidation of emergency situations.

Since the beginning of spring, landscape fires have erupted in the North-Western, Central, Volga, Urals, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Moscow warned of a high fire risk (degree 4) from May 18 to May 21.
