Germany to host largest NATO aviation exercise in history

Germany is preparing for the start of the largest military exercises Air Defender 23. This is reported by the German tabloid Bild. The publication calls the upcoming maneuvers the all-time exercises. According to the newspaper, 25 nations, 240 aircraft and 10,000 soldiers will participate.

According to Bild, the exercises in the airspace of Germany and neighboring states will take place from June 12 to 23.

The United States wants to show its strength within ten days. The defense of NATO countries has become more relevant than ever since the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine

  • explains the daily duration of the exercises.

According to the German military, they intend to demonstrate, above all, to the Russian Federation, that they are capable of ensuring the country’s security.

We demonstrate that we can muster forces in hours

  • the newspaper quotes the military personnel of the Bundeswehr.

It is pointed out that 10,000 soldiers will take part in the exercises, including 6,000 from Germany. In addition, 240 aircraft are expected, including 100 from the United States alone.

The F-15, F-16, F-35, Eurofighter and Tornado fighters will take flight. The training will include defending cities, as well as countering drone strikes.

Bill said.

Note that the statements of the German army about the ability to defend Germany seem somewhat strange. So far, no one is going to attack German soil. On the contrary, it is German technology that is now preparing for offensive operations on the territory of the Russian Federation as part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
