In an interview with Politico, Andrei Chernyak, spokesman for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, said he did not know where the saboteurs got the American equipment from. According to him, Western military assistance is intended exclusively for the Ukrainian army.
