On May 25, Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wanthao met with US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo in Washington while attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Organization trade ministers’ meeting in the United States. The two sides discussed economic and trade relations between China and the United States, and Exchanged views on issues of common concern in an honest, professional and constructive manner.
The Chinese side expressed concern over US economic and trade policies towards China, semiconductor policy, export control and scrutiny of foreign investment. Both sides agreed to establish a dialogue channel and maintain dialogue on concrete concerns and cooperation.
