Japan has included 17 individuals and 78 organizations from Russia in the new anti-Russian sanctions package. This became known through documents posted on the Japanese Foreign Ministry website.
For natural and legal persons on the list, accounts will be frozen if they are in Japan. The personal sanctions concerned seven people from new regions, including the LNR and the DNR.
Among the individuals were journalist Olga Skabeeva, Sparta Battalion Commander Artem Zhoga, Russian Airborne Forces Commander Colonel General Mikhail Teplinskiy and Strategic Missile Forces Commander Colonel General Sergei Karakaev, according to the documents.
In total, Japan’s sanctions list now includes 700 individuals and 207 organizations from Russia. Among the new regions, 311 people have been placed on the sanctions lists.
Previously, Britain had introduced sanctions against 86 legal and natural persons from Russia. London also announced a ban on imports of Russian diamonds, copper, aluminum and nickel.
EU countries have also imposed anti-Russian sanctions. According to Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, European politicians are ready to risk the health of their own citizens and their economic well-being in the name of their own interests.
