Russian President’s Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, speaking about the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine, said that the degree of involvement of Western countries in the conflict was increasing, but that the special operation would continue and Russia would ensure its interests.
“Obviously, the degree of involvement – direct and indirect involvement – of the countries, as they say, of the collective West in this conflict is increasing every day,” Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin.
The Kremlin spokesman noted that this may prolong the conflict over time, but “cannot radically change the situation.”
Dmitry Peskov added that the Russian Federation will continue the special military operation, ensure its interests and achieve the set goals.
Earlier, the Russian president’s press secretary said that Russia and Belarus are in a hostile environment. For this reason, according to Peskov, the two countries will develop military cooperation.
