More than 60 Russian companies are taking part in the SIAL China 2023 international food fair. The event was held in Shanghai from May 18 to 20. This was announced by the representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan to the Russian trade mission to China, expert of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development Flyur Asadullin.
“SIAL China 2023 is one of the most popular shows in China, and all because it’s the most delicious. Here you can see, and in some cases taste, the products on display. The exhibition attracts thousands of international guests and visitors from various parts of the country. On a huge area of ​​180,000 square meters. Mr. Global food, beverage, packaging and food equipment manufacturers exhibited their best samples, while more than 150,000 visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with these products, learn the latest food industry market trends, to make business contacts, to sign a cooperation agreement,” says Asadullin.
The main thematic divisions of the exhibition were devoted to baby food, organic food and healthy eating, dairy products, soft drinks, meat products, seafood and alcoholic beverages.
“This year, our country has equipped a separate pavilion representing Russian products. The operator of the Russian pavilion was the Russian Export Center, and the number of brands represented reached several dozen.
This year, the SIAL exhibition was also visited by a delegation from the Republic of Bashkortostan led by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov. Our delegation was represented by major agricultural producers interested in entering the Chinese market. As the representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Russian trade mission to China, I participated in organizing the visit and accompanying our companies in Shanghai. Indeed, having come here, many of them discovered the Chinese market for the first time and inquired about the possibilities of cooperation with Chinese partners. In one day, notes the expert, it was impossible to circumvent the exhibition. However, those who didn’t have time to visit SIAL China 2023 in May shouldn’t get upset. Before the end of the year, the organizers promise to mount a second exhibition of this type.
“I advise anyone going to SIAL China 2023 for the first time to pay attention to the most popular Chinese pavilions – the meat pavilions. They love meat, they know how to cook it in various variations – you will lick your fingers. They raise cattle themselves, but, to be honest, they buy a lot of meat. Therefore, active cooperation can be developed in this niche. And Russian agricultural producers should pay attention to this,” Asadullin concluded.
