St. Petersburg SKA coach Roman Rotenberg was appointed head coach of the Russia 25 hockey team. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation.
The coaching council members voted unanimously for Rotenberg’s candidacy. From now on, the coach will combine his new position with work at SKA.
The Russia 25 squad includes players with an average age of 25. In May, the team will go on tour against Belarus – a solid roster will be called up, which will consist of the players who most clearly showed themselves in the KHL championship.
“Roman Borisovich recently worked as a coach, but he managed to establish himself as a good specialist who knows how to develop players – this can be seen in the results of the progress of many hockey players in SKA,” said Vladislav Tretiak, President . of the RHF.
Earlier, “The Eastern Herald in St. Petersburg” told how Roman Rotenberg’s team spent the past season.
