The statistics of the exhibition eloquently testify to the trends of the 2023 tourist season in Belarus: 270 exhibitors from nine countries. Most of the participants, in addition to the hosts, were represented by Russia – 11 regions of the Russian Federation wanted to establish close contacts with Sineoka partners. The hosts are also wholeheartedly in favor of Russians staying more often and longer in the republic. But is the game worth the candle?

Improving health in sanatoriums remains one of the most attractive types of recreation for Russians in Belarus. Of course, no one promises the sea and the palm trees, but the medical services, the spa treatments, the soothing air are all at the highest level. The price depends on the category of the room: it differs significantly from one spa to another, so only those who have not bothered to look for an acceptable option can complain about the supernaturally high cost. For example, in June, an overnight stay in the Golden Sands sanatorium near Gomel starts from 1940 Russian rubles (a place in a double room in a block, 2 + 2). In the spa “Narochansky Bereg” (2-bed 1-bedroom standard) you will have to pay 2630 Russian rubles per day, in the sanatorium “Belaya Rus”, which is 25 meters from the famous Naroch Lake (2-bed 1-bedroom) – 3100 rubles. Of course, treatment in such popular health resorts as “Youth” near Minsk will cost from 7,200 Russian rubles per day, and in the crowded “Alfa-Radon” in the Grodno region even from 13 700. But here, as they say, who wants, he will pay. In August, prices are often even higher.
Belarusian spa resorts of the middle price segment predict a constant demand from Russians for this season. In particular, this concerns sanatoriums in the system of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus.
– We render full-fledged service complexes: medical, cosmetic, etc. – the director of the EU “Belprofsoyuzkurort” Nikolay Matyukevich explains the optimistic expectations. – In addition, our resorts actively cooperate with tour operators. First of all, people come to us from Moscow and the Moscow region – 33%, from St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region – 28%. The proportion of citizens from neighboring regions and cities has also increased: Kaluga, Pskov, Bryansk and Smolensk.

For lovers of excursions, Belarusian travel agencies are ready to offer multi-day bus trips to the regions of the country from Minsk. The cost of four-day excursions to the most attractive sights of the Grodno and Brest regions in terms of diversity starts from 24,000 Russian rubles per person, three-day excursions – from 15,000, excursions from two days – from 10,500 rubles.
Lots of options. Therefore, there is a reason to first book a place in a hotel in Minsk and, depending on the length of stay in the country, plan the route in more detail. But if you want to spend time communicating with nature, then in search of a suitable place, it is better to study the catalogs of farmhouses on the Internet. The peak of pre-orders for the summer has not yet passed, and until mid-May it is quite possible to choose the appropriate options. Better to call the owners in advance: this year, under the guise of “country houses”, many rural hotels will not be offered at the same prices due to new commercial rules. And some may close completely. But this is not certain: the process of re-registration of inheritances is still in progress.
This season, for the Russians, another reason to go to Minsk will be the holding of the II Games of the CIS countries from August 4 to 14 in Belarus. Approximately 3,000 athletes will compete in 10 sports. The solemn opening and closing ceremonies of the Games are scheduled for August 5 and 13 in Minsk, but the starts themselves will take place in 10 cities of the country.

Although the ticket sales program for the Games has not yet started, you can take a trip along the scenic waterways of southern Belarus on the country’s only Belaya Rus cruise ship, which traditionally carries tourists Russians. Sailing begins April 29. During the 8-day cruise, guests will see the beauties of Belarusian Polesie, including the Brest Fortress, “Belovezhskaya Pushcha” and “Pripyatsky” national parks, as well as the cultural capital of Belarus, the city of Pinsk and other places in the region. Cost – from 46,990 to 113,290 Russian rubles per person.
It is hoped that Russian tour operators will soon prepare additional proposals for vacations in Belarus. During the exhibition, representatives of the tourism industry of both countries conducted active negotiations on this subject within the framework of the First Russian-Belarusian Tourism Congress and the International Tourism Forum. Cooperation agreements have been signed between the State Tourism Agency and various regions of the Russian Federation. The documents are aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism, increasing mutual tourist flows and improving the quality of service.
