In Kamchatka, it was decided to establish a state of emergency. It will operate on the territory of the Ust-Kamchatsky region. Where several settlements were littered with ash after the Shiveluch Volcano erupted. Oleg Bondarenko, head of the municipal district, wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
The villages of Klyuchi and Kozyrevsk, as well as the village of Maiskoye, will be located in the emergency zone. Now the administration is preparing all the necessary documents. Remember that according to the law, during the emergency regime, civil servants have the right to restrict the entry of vehicles into the territory. And also to suspend the work of companies if it threatens the lives of citizens.
The volcanic eruption began on the morning of April 11. Shiveluch threw up a column of ash about 20 km high. Villages were covered in ash clouds. In Klyuchi, the ash fall was the heaviest in 60 years. In some places, the thickness of the layer of fallen ash was 20 cm. Last Wednesday, the volcano threw up ash several times.
