The congratulations sent by the Head of State to the compatriots on May 14 on the occasion of the Day of the flag, the emblem and the anthem of the State of the country say that they “connect the past, the present and future of the Belarusian state”. This feast clarifies BELTA was established by decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus on March 26, 1998 and is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of May.
“Our truly national flag, coat of arms and anthem are comprehensible and truthful, they contain the wisdom of the world, strengthen spiritual strength, inspire new achievements,” the president said, quoted by his press service.
According to Lukashenko, the desire for peace, devotion to the native land and the will to create for the good of future generations have helped Belarusians to remain true to themselves and their principles. These qualities, he is sure, will not only make it possible to resist the challenges of today, but also to increase the achievements of the sovereign period.
The Head of State wished his compatriot family happiness, joy, health and success in their work for the good of the Fatherland.
By the way, news portals recall that ten years ago the State Flag Square appeared in Minsk, the inauguration of which took place on July 2, 2013. In the center of it stood finds a 70-meter stele pole, on which hangs the largest state flag in the country.
And along the perimeter of the square there are seven granite stelae with the coats of arms of the regions and the Belarusian capital. Headstones with the text of the national anthem and a geographical map of Belarus are placed symmetrically on both sides of the staircase.
