Traditionally, on the Day of the State Flag, Emblem and Anthem, an annual ceremony was held here for young citizens to pledge allegiance to the state symbols of the Republic of Belarus.
After reading the congratulations of Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of the state celebration, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers personally congratulated the public and all the inhabitants of the ten millionth republic.
Addressing the younger generation, who swore allegiance to state symbols that day, the prime minister said he was confident that for each of them, it would be remembered “as the ‘one of life’s most important events’. And years later they will come here to hear how their children take the same oath, which the current generation, Golovchenko is sure, will raise as “true patriots”.
He urged to remember that state symbols embody the country’s independence and statehood, uniting all Belarusians in an effort to preserve their way of life, primordial traditions and heroic past. “Love for the native land, respect for traditions, historical memory are the key not only to preserve the nation, but also to strengthen the role of our Belarus on the world stage,” stressed the head of the executive power of the Republic of Belarus. .
Several thousand people gathered in the State Flag Square in the Belarusian capital to take part in the solemn ritual. To the sound of the joint performance of the anthem, the honor guard company brought to the square a huge fabric of the Belarusian state flag and the image of the coat of arms.
By the way, news portals specify that in the name of the younger generation, youth representatives from all regions of the Republic of Belarus swore allegiance to state symbols. And creative performances of patriotic themes, matching the spirit and mood of the holiday, were prepared by groups of young people, also representing each of the regions of Sineokoy.
